Frequently Asked Questions About Hands and Feet Moulds
Q. Where are the moulds taken?
A. The moulds can be taken at your home or hospital (depending on location) or you can come to us.
Q. Will the moulding process harm my child?
A. No. We use a medical standard moulding compound that is safe to use on newborn babies. We have even used it on our own son many times. Some children may get a little upset during the process but this is normally because the mould feels cold. It is in no way painful or harmful. We are happy to supply a full data sheet on the moulding compound if you request it.
Q. How long does the moulding process take?
A. The child is only required to place their hand or foot in the mould for about 1 minute. The entire process takes about 30 minutes, including mould taking and choosing designs.
Q. How long does it take for the package to be completed?
A. Depending on which package you choose, how busy we are and the availability of supplies, it normally takes up to 4 weeks. However, it may take a longer at certain times of the year such as Christmas, Mothers day, Fathers day and Easter.
