What's included
- 1 × guided silicone placemat with printed place-setting outlines
- 1 × glass jug, sized for a child to lift and pour

A plate is not included. The outline on the mat fits a standard 18–20 cm side plate.

- Age: designed for 3 years and up. Younger children can start earlier with an adult beside them.

Care & cleaning
- Dishwasher: every piece is dishwasher safe. Cup and jug on the top rack.
- Placemat: rinse or wipe, then hang it to dry by its hook.
- Glass: check the rim for chips before each use and retire anything chipped.

We pack and send every order ourselves from our warehouse in Western Australia. Every parcel is tracked and insured, so you'll know where it is from the moment it leaves us.

Breakage replacement, returns & warranty
If they break it
Dropped, knocked off the table, caught on the edge of a chair — that's ordinary use with a three-year-old, and it's what this covers. If the glass jug or glass cup breaks that way within 30 days of delivery, we'll send a replacement piece free. Postage is $14.95, the same as any single accessory; if you'd rather it travelled with another order, email us and we'll put it together as a custom order.
- Email hello@littlehands.com.au with your order number and a photo of the broken piece.
- Please don't post broken glass back to us — dispose of it safely at home.
- One replacement piece per set. We replace the piece that broke, not the whole set.
- Not covered: items lost or mislaid, scratches and ordinary wear, a dishwasher cycle that wasn't top-rack, deliberate damage, or a piece already replaced.
Gifts are fine — the order number, or the purchaser's name and email, is enough.
If a piece is faulty
A glass that cracks on its own, a handle that gives way, cutlery that bends or pits in normal use — that isn't breakage, it's a fault. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace the piece free and cover the postage as well. Send a photo with your order number; there's nothing to pay and nothing to post back to us.
Damaged on arrival
Photograph the box and contents and contact us within 48 hours. We'll repair or replace at no cost, postage included.
After 30 days
Any single piece can be bought on its own, so one breakage never costs you a whole set. Email us and we'll sort it.
Change of mind
30-day returns. Delivery fees aren't refunded and return freight is at your cost.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The 30-day promises above are benefits we give you in addition to those guarantees. They do not limit them, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not confined to 30 days.

Give them the real thing, once.
A plastic set gets outgrown and replaced. This one gets handled carefully, because it can break — and that's the whole point.

A plastic fork tells a hand nothing. Steel has heft and glass has heft, and that weight is the feedback a small grip needs to work out how much to hold on. Lighter isn't easier — it's just quieter when it hits the floor. And neither scratches, clouds, nor holds the smell of what it last carried: three years on, it's ready for the next child.

We built The Little Kitchen because our daughter wanted to help at the sink. The Mealtime Set came from what happened next: she could wash and prepare her own food, then had to eat it off plastic that bounced when she dropped it. Nothing about that taught her to be careful.
So we gave her glass and steel, and a mat that showed her where it all went. She broke a cup in the first month. She hasn't broken one since.
